Want to try an Advanced Search? Sad I can no longer recommend Fernando. I was pleased initially with 2 appointments for service on my 2003 VW Vista, but he did not show up for our appointment for Oil change 3 days ago, and I have had no responses to my text and phone messages . Time to search for another mechanic. Cant say enough good about The services that Fernando offers to the VW community! My poor-ass old 1985 Westfalia has some serious issues and Fernando went right to the source of the problems and fixed them in a timely and professional fashion. I highly recommend his services and integrity as MY new VW mechanic. I will share him with you!
We look forward to servicing your VW! Has been working as a mechanic for over 32 years! His experience far exceeds that of most mechanics. He worked for VW Gunther as a Service Advisor and Mechanic. Like their approach to cars and customers. Overpriced, only one “Parts Changer” able to work on Eurovan or Rialta. Off of Southbound Hwy A1A approx. The ‘engine profile’ icon illuminated on the dash of my ’08 Eos, 70,000 mi, and I went into a semi-panic mode. Two other non-dealer V-dub shops couldn’t take me for two days, but Mark sez bring it over and I’ll at least diagnose it.
He interrupted the job he was working, hooked up his device, did his own analysis and found brittle vacuum hoses at the fittings under the air filter manifold. Sez he could give me the fifty-cent repair or get me dealer repair parts. When I decided to invest in one of the coolest, most unique recreational vehicles ever built by VW – the VW Westfalia Vanagon – I realized that the first order of business called for an honest and knowledgeable VW mechanic with a unique set of skills to deal with a full restoration project. Mark Grabowsky is a one of kind professional, single handedly one of the best formally trained mechanic that specializes in VWs. Mark is THE best VW mechanic in the area. He saved us thousands by repairing leaking seals on our injection pump rather than simply replacing the entire pump as other places had suggested. Trust him with your car, you will NOT be disappointed. I found Mark’s VW Werkshop by accident on April 2010 when I needed work on my 2002 VW Beetle diesel and I have been impressed with the quality of his work. He fixed a leaking fuel pump with the expertise of a surgeon. He later isolated a screeching noise from around the timing belt which was replaced earlier by a different mechanic.
His latest exploit was a hard starting symptom. After numerous hours, he found that the fuel filter had a pinhole leak causing air to get into the fuel line. This was our first time to Mark’s Werkshop. Our diesel beetle needed a timing belt, serpentine belt, water pump and fuel filter. Mark did an excellent job replacing everything and even found our timing was way off. Mark got it all done for a fair price and the VW has much more pep and drives a lot better. Thanks Mark, for a great job. 33 years and he was mechanically inclined from day one as a teenager. Mark is a formally educated mechanic from a highly respected Aviation Schoolhe is a VW savant.
Mark is honest to a fault. His prices are fair and when he fixes something you know it’s been done right the first time. I highly recommend Mark for any VW repair work. Mark is probably the most honest mechanic I’ve ever met. You can tell just by talking to him that he knows his stuff, and if there is anything he doesn’t know or won’t try to fix,he will tell you that to. I definitely recommend Mark’s for any VW owner. I have been bringing my old bugs to Mark’s VW Werkshop for almost twenty years! Mark often knows exactly what is wrong with my bug just by a brief description of the problem on the phone. The problem is often fixed the same day and his fixes STAY FIXED.
